LOS ANGELES (GaeaTimes.com)- The firing of Juan Williams by NPR over his sensitive remarks he made on Fox News recently has been hogging the attention of the public and media for some time. The correspondent has been shown the door but apparently he does not have any regret over it. The way the network removed him has not gone down well with the public and it is evident from the huge public outrage over it. A lot of people who found it to be unfair wrote their comments online and sent mail as well. The network dealt with him rather harshly as the majority is feeling. They did not consider the fact that he was with it for 10 years and in a drastic way closed the doors on him.

However, at the time of firing Juan Williams, NPR did not even think tat the mass outrage against the act would be so huge and unprecedented. The news got leaked in the web very fast as is the case with similar events. Very soon the protest mails started making their way at the official address of the network. The employees of the network found to their amazement that the office phone simply did not stop ringing. The Contact Us form at the NPR site failed to cope with the load of email and it crashed. Over 8000 emails hit the mail id and it was a record of sorts!

NPR possibly found his remarks on the status of Muslims in USA and their duties unprofessional. However, the general opinion is that they should have allowed Juan Williams to make his stand clear to the management before showing him the door in such a manner.
