Spirit Halloween Makes Children Smile

LOS ANGELES (Gaea Times.com)- Spirit Halloween Superstore made many children smile when they surprisingly visited the patients in Children’s Hospital of New Orleans on Wednesday. While most kids are expecting to have fun with their families on Halloween, the children in the hospital had no such plans. However, Halloween came early for them and came right up to their doorstep, when Spirit Halloween donated costumes to the children and together they had a blast. The parents of the children also joined in the event and the scene could not have been merrier. Children’s Hospitals Child Life Department Director Lee Myers expressed the emotions of everyone, when she said that it brightened the patient’s day.

Parent Eric Mhgee, said that his daughter Kymyria was very happy. He further said that she had been very sick last week and it was fun to have her out play around. The event served as a diversion for the children from their problems, according to Lee Myers. Children get bored and irritated and the event was exactly what was required to get their spirits up. Some children could not take part in the event though, as they were not allowed to leave their rooms. Spirit Halloween made sure that it left costumes for those children as well.

Spirit Halloween is said to have been collecting donations for many local hospitals. They also reportedly visited Covenant’s Women and Children Hospital on Tuesday. They had brought costumes and toys and the children had a gala time. The store has been doing the good work for five years reportedly and this year again they are collecting money for local hospitals.
