“Leave It To Beaver” Cast Member Barbara Billingsley Dies

LOS ANGELES (GaeaTimes.com)- “Leave It to Beaver” cast member and famous actress Barbara Billingsley breathed her last in Santa Monica last Saturday. Her spokeswoman Judy Twersky announced the news to the media. The actress who is renowned for her role of June Cleaver in the American television series “Leave it To Beaver” died at the age of 94.

Barbara Billingsley not only acted in “Leave It to Beaver“, she was also a cast member of “Still the Beaver” which led her to her stardom. Tony Dow, who played Wally Cleaver in the series “Leave It to Beaver” expressed his condolence at the sudden demise of the actress by saying that America’s favorite mother is now no more alive and he feels “fortunate” to have acted as her son for 11 years. The actor also added that they were wonderful friends and he would miss her “very much”. The actress is survived by her two sons, four grandchildren and a stepson. Glenn Billingsley told a reputed media source in one of his interviews that his “mom” was truly the best mother and she was classy, nurturing and lovely as her television tole of June Cleaver. Glenn Billingsley also added that everybody in her family is proud to share her with the world.

Another cast member of “Leave It to Beaver“, Jerry Mathers, who played the role of Theodore Cleaver expressed his condolence in one of his statements to a reputed media source by saying that Barbara Billingsley was a patient advisor and “teacher”. He also added that the actress helped him along the journey through his life by showing him the importance of “manners” and also by teaching him to have respect for others. Barbara Billingsley’s family has arranged for a private memorial.
