World premiere of ‘With Love To Obama’ in New York

NEW DELHI - Neha Dhupia starrer laughriot “With Love To Obama” will be world premiered at the seventh annual South Asian International Film Festival (SAIFF) beginning in New York Oct 27.

Presented by HBO, the fest will mark the first-ever screening of the movie that has been produced by Ashok Pandey of Revel Films and written and directed by Subhash Kapoor, according to a statement from the gala.

Set against the backdrop of the global meltdown, “With Love To Obama” is comedy that shows how recession not only affected the top corporate houses in metro cities but also gangsters in Uttar Pradesh.

Starring in a non-glamorous role for the first time, Neha will be seen as a local goon Munni Madam in the movie. Her look is reportedly inspired by Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Mayawatis style, speech and body language.

It also stars Rajat Kapoor, Manu Rishi Chadha, Sanjay Mishra, Sumit Nijhavan and Amol Gupte.

Other movies to be screened at the gala include Anurag Kashyap’s thriller “That Girl in Yellow Boots” (opening film), Saurabh Shukla’s “Paapu Can’t Dance Saala” and “I Am 24″, “I Am Kalam”, “Paan Singh Tomar” (centrepiece presentation) and Aamir Bashir’s directorial debut “Harud”, to name a few. The festival concludes Nov 2.
