LONDON - John Lennon’s wife Yoko Ono has revealed that if the Beatles singer had been alive he would have protested against the Iraq war through social networking sites.

To mark John’s 70th birthday Yoko recalled the details of the peace campaigner who was shot dead by a deranged fan.

“When we did our bed-ins for peace against Vietnam the world just laughed at us,” the Mirror quoted her as saying.

“But now 99 pc of the world is taking a stand against wars like Iraq and Afghanistan. John would have done that but he’d have loved the new communication media.

“He would have been writing statements and sending them out to the world as a blogger and a tweeter,” she added. (ANI)
