LONDON - Jimi Mistry, the Indian-origin actor best known for his role as a ’sex guru’ in the movie ‘the Guru’, has revealed the sizzling dance learnt during the movie will help him impress the ladies in ‘Strictly come Dancing’.

Mistry, 37, was born in Scarborough to a father of Indian Hindu descent and an Irish Roman Catholic mother.

The ex-’EastEnder’ split four years back from wife Meg Leonard, mum of their daughter Erin, nine.

Now he is hoping that those sizzling salsas and raunchy rumbas picked up during his role as a dance teacher-turned sex guru - Ramu Gupta in Hollywood movie ‘The Guru’ will transform him into a real ladies’ man and help him on the show.

“Doing sex scenes in ‘The Guru’ helped me feel at ease with the raunchier ‘Strictly’ moves,” the Sun quoted Mistry as saying.

“I’m lucky to have been an actor and have had that experience. Peter Shilton won’t have been used to many clinches on the football field!” he added.

Jimi and Flavia Cacace, professional partner - Italian dancer will perform a foxtrot on the BBC1 show this weekend - and hopes to build on last week’s impressive debut score of 26.

“I was over the moon with what we did. I’m in the competition to have fun and learn,” he added.(ANI)
