LONDON - Sherlock Holmes star Benedict Cumberbatch is to set the questions in the new series of satirical panel show ‘Have I Got News For You’.

Guest presenter Cumberbatch, 34, will join regular team leaders Paul Merton and Ian Hislop on the series, as it marks its 20th anniversary.

“How could I resist the chance for the audience to witness my being shot down in flames by the wit of Merton and Hislop?” the BBC quoted Cumberbatch as saying.

He said he is “very excited and honoured” to launch the new series, which begins on October 14.

“I have watched the show since its inception, and my family and I used to make it a routine TV date to relish,” he added.

John Bishop and Top Gear star Jeremy Clarkson will also guest present. (ANI)
