NEW YORK - Veteran actor Tony Curtis, known for his role as a cross-dressing musician in the Marilyn Monroe-starrer \”Some Like It Hot\”, is dead. He was 85.

His daughter and actress, Jamie Lee Curtis, confirmed the news to Entertainment Tonight. She, however, did not reveal any details, reports people.com.

The actor was earlier admitted to a Las Vegas hospital for tests in July after he had trouble breathing.
