Singer/songwriter REGINA SPEKTOR is to headline a benefit concert in New York for her tragic cellist.

Daniel Cho drowned in Lake Geneva, Switzerland on the eve of a performance with Spektor at the Montreux Jazz Festival in July (10).

A distraught Spektor dedicated her set to Cho the following day.

She’ll be joined by the musician’s former band Cooper at the tribute show, which will take place at Brooklyn’s Music Hall of Williamsburg on Monday (27Sep10).

Proceeds will benefit the cellist’s family.

As well as working with Spektor and Cooper, Cho arranged for and played with Coldplay and Katy Perry, among others.
