September 24, 2010 (Sampurn Wire): Shah Rukh Khan is keeping no stone unturned to make his next big project Ra.One a really big film in all senses of the term. The latest reports suggest that King Khan has signed German composer Hans Zimmer to compose the music for Ra.One.

The 44 year old star probably wants to make his home production an internationally viable movie. The pop icon Akon was signed some time back to sing one of the songs in the movie and now he has roped in Hans Zimmer of The Lion King fame and The Dark Knight fame to score the music. Hans has reportedly agreed to take up the job at the cost of a whopping 2 crore of compensation.

If everything goes well, then it will be the first Bollywood movie to have background score composed by Zimmer, who is known as the most innovative musician in Hollywood. He has composed for noted films like Gladiator, Pirates of The Caribbean series, The Last Samurai, Sherlock Holmes, The Da Vinci Code, The Dark Knight and Inception.

A source from the Ra.One unit was quoted saying that this sci-fi movie will have involvement of lots of foreign technicians, who have been signed by SRK as he wants to take it to the international standards.

The name of Hans Zimmer was reportedly suggested by the director, Anubhav Sinha. The source added that the director arranged a meeting between SRK and Hans through his contacts. After subsequent meetings, SRK was able to convince Zimmer and he agreed to score the music for SRK’s film.

There is a report that earlier Hans had rejected to work on many Bollywood offers but luckily he agreed to work with SRK.
