Nilanjanaa Sengupta goes behind the scenes

September 23, 2010 (Sampurn Wire): Nilanjanaa Sengupta has decided to quit acting and wants to try her hand at production. The doe eyed beauty said that behind-the-scenes job has always intrigued her and finally she has taken the plunge. She recently floated her own production house Blue Water Pictures, and she wants to produce interesting Bengali films. Being a producer is not a walk-in-the-park and Nilanjanaa likes to take the hands on approach while producing films. The actress-turned-producer says that although the job is extremely demanding she finds it fulfilling.

Nilanjanaa said that running a production house requires a lot of creativity but at the end of the day when she sees “Blue Water Pictures presents” splashed across the screen it is extremely fulfilling. Right now, Nilanjanaa’s Production House is co-producing Rituporno Ghosh’s ‘Noukodubi’ along with ‘Mukta Arts’.

Right now Blue Water Pictures is involved in a couple of TV projects as well. Some of the TV projects include STAR Studio, STAR Studio Special and Hit Parade for the TV channel Star Jalsha. Blue Water Pictures has also produced popular shows like Ghosh and Company with Rituporno Ghosh as the host.

Nilanjanaa said that she likes to be involved with a show right from its inception and instead of delegating she likes to do the important stuff on her own.
