Los Angeles (GaeaTimes.com) - Bristol Palin’s much-awaited “Dancing with the Stars” debut hit TV screens last night and “Dancing with the Stars” became the second biggest show on TV last season, just behind “American Idol”. The show has drawn the attention of average 20 million viewers.

Inspite of the reports that the Los Angeles studio was highly expecting the appearance of the former Vice Presidential candidate Sarah Palin, Bristol’s mother, Sarah Palin knew that she was not to appear at her daughter’s “Dancing with the Stars” debut on Monday night. But Bristol Palin was seen to fill the vacuity, caused due to the absence of her mother, by taking the stage as her mom’s second image.

Imitating the ex-Alaska Governor, the 19-year-old single mother Bristol wore a sparkly blue power suit with red scarf. She was seen to sit with her legs crossed at the beginning of her routine. But as her performance proceeded with her partner Mark Ballas to Three Dog Night’s “Mama Told not to Come”, to the utter surprise of the audience, she let down her hair straight and leaving the conservative dress, revealed herself in a red-fringe flapper style mini underneath with tassels.

The judges of the “Dancing with the Stars” rated Bristol’s performance as promising. But, according to them, it was far less impressive than “Dirty Dancing” actress Jennifer Grey’s Vinnese waltz and Otis Redding’s “These Arms of Mine”. The judges’ scores count for only half the total vote, for it is the public who is to decide the first contestant to be eliminated from the show on Tuesday.

The 19-year-old Bristol Palin is a single mother having a one-year-old son Tripp, whose father is Levi Johnston. The camera caught the mom-son together while Bristol was coming to rehearse. Tripp is reportedly living with his mother in Los Angeles as the show is going on.
