Lawrence “Cool DJ Law” Brown Dies Aged 40

NORFOLK (GaeaTimes.com)- On Sunday, at around 4:45 pm, the listeners of WOWI-FM 102.9 FM which is better known 103 Jamz were shocked when the station announced the sad and sudden death of its longtime popular morning show host Lawrence Brown who is better known to the listener as Cool DJ Law. The announcement by the radio station held that the host has died of a sudden heart attack. 40-year-old Lawrence “Cool DJ Law” Brown ruled the morning hours of the 103 Jamz along with co-host Horace “Big B” Belcher. The duo used to host Boodah Brothers Morning Radio Show.

The sudden death of Lawrence “Cool DJ Law” Brown has left his family and colleagues shocked. A family spokeswoman said to media sources that the family of the host of shocked and shattered by the sudden death of the host. The same was mentioned by Pavar Snipe, a former radio personality of 103 Jamz. Pavar Snipe said to media sources “The Brown family is devastated at this loss and appreciate all the prayers of the Hampton Roads”. The fans of the host flooded the facebook page of the radio station with condolence messages for the family of Lawrence “Cool DJ Law” Brown. The overflowing messages at the facebook profile of the radio station only points to the popularity of the Cool DJ Law who had joined the radio station back in 2004.

After some initial years of working as a dee-jay in the Hampton Roads, Lawrence “Cool DJ Law” Brown joined the 103 Jamz airwaves. It was in 2004 however that he along with Horace “Big B” Belcher moved to the morning slot of the show and entertained the listeners. Horace Belcher once referred to Lawrence Brown as his brother and maintained that they have become a family due to their long association and friendship.
