September 15, 2010 (Sampurn Wire): Naturally, the prominent filmmakers of Tamil film industry follow their own style of filmmaking. Gowtham Menon’s films are widely based on the Hollywood pattern, while Cheran loves making nativity based movies. An interesting commonality is between Gowtham and Cheran is about their upcoming films and their duration.

Gowtham Menon’s next film Nadunisi Naigal, a psychological thriller, is reported to have a running length of just 110 mins, which is a rare thing in Tamil films. As known earlier, the film will have neither background nor songs and Gowtham has roped in a top-charting sound designer from Mumbai to work on sound effects.

Similarly, Cheran’s Muran will be of 90 mins duration and this has surprised the entire town. Touted to be an usual thriller revolving around 6 characters, the film is directed by Rajan Yadav and is produced by Cheran’s home banner, Dream Theatres.
