LOS ANGELES (GaeaTimes.com)- The uncrowned princess of VMA 2010, Lady Gaga not only took away much coveted MTV Video Music Awards last night but also created lot of fuss for her outrageous outfit. She appeared three times on stage to receive award and each time she wore a different costume. However, her meat dress sparked lot of controversies and as expected, it infuriated the PETA officials to a great extent. However, the “Poker Face” singer said that she wore the dress to make a statement.

In one of her interviews with Ellen DeGeneres, Lady Gaga defended herself regarding the controversy of VMA outfit by saying that she is not a “piece” of meat. However, she also said that if people do not stand up for what they believe and if they don’t fight for their “rights”, then pretty soon everybody will have as much rights as the meat on “own” bones. Lady Gaga wore a raw, red meat dress with a matching purse last Sunday while she was on stage to accept her award. The singer even said that she had difficulty in walking as the dress was quite heavy. Animal rights group People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals said that wearing a dress made from “cuts” of “dead cows” is offensive enough to “bring comments”.

On the other hand Lady Gaga told about the VMA outfit that she did not intend to disrespect any vegetarians. She said that she is the most judgment free human being on earth. Lady Gaga opened the evening in VMA red carpet with a dress made by late designer Alexander McQueen. After that she wore a heavy black gown and then wore an all-meat outfit for the end of the show.
