Dabangg: Salman Khan’s Robin Hood Avatar

MUMBAI, INDIA (GaeaTimes.com)- Post the success of ‘Wanted’ Salman Khan seems to have taken the good cop-bad cop routine too seriously. ‘Dabangg‘, his latest venture continues to build on the image that ‘Wanted’ created of the star with just one big twist. Unlike the character in ‘Wanted’, Salman Khan’s Chulbul Pandey avatar in Dabangg is a corrupt, comic and over the top character who uses strong arm tactics and witty dialogues to get his way across. The trailers show that the action sequences promise to be entertaining and some of the songs have already made its way for good into the Indian auto-rickshaws and even nightclubs. The film is produced by Salman Khan’s brother Arbaaz Khan who also appears in the film for a minor role.

‘Dabangg‘ also has some other Bollywood stars who have added the necessary depth to the film. The plot of the film revolves around Chulbul Pandey, a.k.a Robin Hood Pandey, played by Salman Khan. He is shown falling apart with his step father, played by Vinod Khanna and his step brother, played by Arbaaz Khan. Dbutante Sonakshi Sinha, who plays the love interest of Salman Khan enters the life of the corrupt cop to instill the family values in him and the film is expected to have a happy ending.

‘Dabangg‘ songs like ‘Munni Badnaam Hui’, ‘Peeni Hai’ and ‘Tere Mast Mast Do Nain’ have already started topping the music charts in Bollywood. Malaika Arora Khan appears in the item song ‘Munni Badnaam Hui’ and gets the male hearts racing. Salman Khan too has entertained in the video with some comic and almost bizarre dance moves.
