Sound of Music Cast Christopher Plummer Revives “Barrymore”

TORONTO, CANADA (GaeaTimes.com) — Christopher Plummer, known for his famous role as Captain Georg Von Trapp in “The Sound of Music” is going to reprise his lead role in “Barrymore” in Canada.

The revival of this award winning play, directed by Gene Saks, will have a strictly limited engagement of 30 performances at Toronto’s Elgin Theater from Jan. 27 to March 9, 2011.

Plummer won the 1997 Tony for Best Actor in a Play for his turn as an aging Barrymore, the talented wastrel who was part of an American acting dynasty. Plummer has a new film due next year called the “Beginners” which also promises to be a great hit.

Let’s hope this veteran actor continues giving us amazing performances in the coming days.
