LOS ANGELES (GaeaTimes.com)- HBO aired the slasher thriller ‘The Perfect Getaway‘ starring the gorgeous Milla Jovovich on Saturday night. Fans of the ‘Resident Evil’ star ensured that they watched the broadcast as Milla Jovovich has recently revealed that she will be taking a break after her latest release called ‘Resident Evil: Afterlife’. ‘The Perfect Getaway’ was released in 2009 and received a mixed response from the audience and critics alike.

The ‘Perfect Getaway‘ revolves around three couples who are vacationing on a Hawaiian island. Gradually, it is revealed that one of them is a serial killer who kills the tourists in the area. Though one of the couples is arrested, it is seen that the real culprits are still out in the open. Milla Jovovich plays the role of Cydney who later turns out to be one of the killers. She and her husband whose real name is Rocky turn out to be psycho killers who want to achieve immortality by living different lives. In the end, however, Cydney is shown betraying her husband and getting him shot by the police in spite of being a part of the crime alongside him throughout.

Though, ‘The Perfect Getaway’ delves on the familiar grounds of slasher movies with the victims and the suspect being stuck on an island together, it takes a whole new approach in terms of character development and suspense build. In the first half of the movie the dynamics between the couple make the movie interesting and spicy. Directed by David Twohy of ‘Pitch Black’ fame the film was ‘The Perfect Getaway‘ for the weekend audience of HBO.
