Emmy Award 2010 For Creative Arts Held

LOS ANGELES (GaeaTimes.com)- Yesterday was the gala event of Creative Arts Emmy Award 2010 which was held at Nokia Theater, Los Angeles. It witnessed many veteran celebrities taking home the much coveted award for their contribution in television industry. Among many celebrities, Betty White, the American actress and comedian took away her fifth Emmy Award for best guest actress in a comedy series for her turn as “Saturday Night Live” host. However, the actress could not turn up to receive her award.

Creative Arts Emmy Awards is precursor to the main Aug. 29 Emmy Award Ceremony. Neil Patrick Harris was the presenter and also winner for best guest actor in a comedy series for his appearance in “Glee”. John Lithgow for “Dexter” and Ann-Margret for “Law & Order: Special Victims Unit”, were awarded guest acting trophies for drama series. It was an emotional moment for Neil Patrick Harris and he said that he wanted to thank Chris “Boomer” Beachum from “The Envelop” or he would not have gotten the award. He also thanked his partner David Burka form his support.

The other Emmy Award winners included Jaime Oliver’s “Food Revolution” for best reality series, previous Emmy-winning “Survivor” host Jeff Probst, for best reality show host and Ann Margaret, for her guest appearance on “Law and Order”. One of the big winners of yesterday night was mini series “The Pacific”, which took home six Emmy Awards. The top network winner was HBO with 17 trophies, followed by ABC with 15 and Fox bagged 9 trophies. The Creative Arts Emmy Awards are basically for all of the categories that don’t make it to the live prime-time version of the Emmy show, but they have equal meaning for all of the winners.
