Michael Douglas Fights Throat Tumor

LOS ANGELES (GaeaTimes.com)- Oscar winning actor Michael Douglas has been diagnosed with a tumor in his throat. The representative of the “Wall Street” actor announced the news to the media yesterday. The fans of the actor are shocked to hear the news of his tumor but the actor is dwelling on hopeful aspects and expecting a favorable outcome that he will be cured soon.

The doctors reported that Michael Douglas will be treated with radiation and chemotherapy over eight weeks and expect that “The American President” actor will make a full recovery with the treatment. The “Hail! Hero” actor in one of his interviews said that he is very “optimistic” that he will be cured with treatment. Allen Bury, the spokesman of Michael Douglas declined to comment about the type of cancer, when it was first detected and when the treatment will begin. However, media reports suggest that the planned treatment indicates that Michael Douglas has throat cancer as a normal tumor is not treated with radiation and the chemotherapy treatment also suggests that the tumor may be in a more advanced stage.

Michael Douglas‘ upcoming movie “Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps” will reportedly hit the theaters on September 24 and is speculated that if the “Disclosure” actor’s treatment would affect the promotion of his highly anticipated movie. A reputed media source reported that it has really been a disturbing year for the actor as his son Cameron was sentenced to five years jail in May after pleading guilty of possession and distribution of drugs. However, Michael Douglas‘ fans are expecting that the actor will recover soon with treatment.
