‘That Girl In Yellow Boots’ In Venice Film Festival

MUMBAI, INDIA (GaeaTimes.com)- Anurag Kashyap has achieved a new milestone in Indian as his latest film ‘That Girl In Yellow Boots‘ has been selected for the 67th Venice Film Festival. The film will be screened in the out-of-competition category in the festival that starts on September 1 and continues till September 11. There has so far been immense curiosity among the fans of Anurag Kashyap after the trailer of the film was released on the web recently.

The film stars Kalki Koechlin of ‘Dev D’ fame as a girl who is in search of her father. She is seen undertaking a life changing journey in quest of the man who she believes loves her. Known for making groundbreaking films, Anurag Kashyap said after the selection that he was on top of the world. He also thanked the NFDC (National Film Development Corporation of India) which has co produced ‘That Girl In Yellow Boots‘. Reports suggest that the film will also be showcased at the Toronto International Film Festival this year.

Apart from Kalki Koechlin, the film also stars Bollywood stalwart Naseeruddin Shah. ‘That Girl In Yellow Boots‘ portrays the struggle of the character named Ruth played by Kalki Koechlin. The trailers show that the film is a bold attempt to portray the reality behind the massage parlors (where Ruth works without permit) in the nations commercial center. With the city of Mumbai as the backdrop of her quest, the audience can surely expect another thought provoking film like Dev D. The film was co-written by Kalki Koechlin and Anurag Kashyap.
