Kanye West’s ‘Power’ Video Features Spirituality With Sexuality

LOS ANGELES (GaeaTimes.com) — The video of Kanye West’s “Power” was released On August 5. The video is a joint effort by Kanye West and artist Marco Brambilla. Kanye wanted to collaborate with Marco after he saw his ‘Civilization’ installation.

In a very recent interview Marco said that he wanted the video to be provocative. Brambilla made a statement that he and Kanye West shared the vision of the video that mixed the themes of sexuality with religion. In the 90 second video that premiered last night on MTV Kanye West was seen in a black T-shirt and Jewelery. The camera then pans away to show Kanye is surrounded by many women. Some of the Women have horns on their heads symbolizing their sins. At the end of the brief clip the screen becomes blank and the words “Power” become visible.

The video had plenty of references of religion and is a hot topic for discussion amongst the Kanye West fans. Check out the brief clip from the video and tell us what you think about the images.
