Rubicon Premieres On AMC

LOS ANGELES (GaeaTimes)- The latest mystery drama to hit American screens this season is ‘Rubicon‘. The series had acquired a huge amount of curiosity and expectation after the trailer promised an intellectual and sophisticated conspiracy drama. The show was premiered on August 1 and gathered a huge viewership. The hype surrounding the series has been immense and some critics said after the show that the show may not be for everyone.

The plot of ‘Rubicon’ revolves around a young intelligence analyst who comes across a tragic murder. In his efforts to solve the murder, he realizes that his own agency is a part of a secret society that has the power to influence events at a global scale. The cast is led by James Badge Dale as Will Travers and also features some familiar TV faces. Another well known face on the show will be Oscar Nominated actress Miranda Richardson. Apart from the veteran cast, the show is directed by Allen Coulter of ‘The Sopranos’ fame.

‘Rubicon‘ is produced by Henry Bromell and was first shown on American screens in June. The producer revealed that his father worked with the CIA for 25 years and that inspired the show a great deal. He also said that most of the focus has been on the spies, the undercover agents and the guys in operations so far but the real heroes were the behind-the-scenes intelligence guys. James Badge Dale said that ‘Rubicon’ concentrates on people who want to sit down and be told a story in its own pace. He added that it was a very subtle but specific story.
