CBS most-viewed network for fifth week in a row

NEW YORK — The Nielsen Co. says reruns and reality shows gave CBS a decisive win in last week’s ratings.

But fresh reality fare served all the networks well, including “America’s Got Talent” on NBC, ABC’s “The Bachelorette” and “Wipeout,” and CBS’ “Big Brother.”

CBS also was boosted by repeats of its episodic hits like “NCIS” and “The Big Bang Theory.” For the fifth consecutive week, CBS led in total prime-time audience, averaging 5.9 million viewers. ABC and NBC were virtually tied for second place, followed by Fox.

Among the evening newscasts, NBC’s “Nightly News” was on top, as usual.
