LOS ANGELES (GaeaTimes.com)- AMC’s latest offering, Rubicon is set to take over the Sunday nights on American TV screens starting August 1. The mystery drama has been touted as a conspiracy thriller that is ready to make the audience think and ponder about the politics within the think tanks in America. In spite of the pilot episode premiering in June, AMC will air a two hour premiere that will also repeat the first episode in the first hour. The strategy by AMC to air a two hour special is smart one considering that the audience will now relate to the show better.

The plot of Rubicon deals with the story of Will Travers, a dedicated and serious agent in an American intelligence agency. He is left with the difficult choice of leaving the agency after he meets with a tragic death. He continues the investigations on the death only to realize that his own agency in involved in a conspiracy that can bring about major changes in the world. TV experts feel that the audience will relate to the plight of the character who finds himself in the middle of a big conspiracy. The series has been promoted by the network with the tag line ‘Not Every Conspiracy Is A Theory’ and the trailer promises the audience an intellectual and fascinating journey through the first 13 episodes.

Rubicon stars James Badge Dale, Jessica Collins and Miranda Richardson among many other well known faces on TV. The show has been produced by Warner Horizon Television and is expected to gather a significant audience for the AMC network.
