SYLVESTER STALLONE was desperate to start shooting his all-out action film THE EXPENDABLES - because he’s tired of the current trend for “sophisticated” movies.

The Rocky actor is directing and starring in the highly-anticipated blockbuster, which sees some of Hollywood’s toughest stars - including Bruce Willis, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Dolph Lundgren, Jason Statham, Jet Li and Mickey Rourke - team up for a hard-hitting box office outing,

And Stallone is convinced film fans will flock to see the picture - because cinema-goers are craving to see actors perform all their own stunts.

He tells Britain’s The Sun, “Films are too sophisticated. Audiences want something real.

“That’s why all the men in this new film do their own stunts and take some serious hits.”
