LOS ANGELES (GaeaTimes.com)- “Larry King Live” will come to an end this fall and the announcement was made by none other than the host of the show Larry King on Tuesday. 76-year-old Larry King who had gone through a bad patch of time in his personal life recently said in his blog that CNN has accepted his request to end the show and thereby provide him with more time to be with his wife and family. The decision comes just a week after a popular newspaper pointed out that CNN should find a worthy successor of the host soon. Although “Larry King Live” has remained one of the most popular shows of CNN for the past 25 years, during the past six months the channel has seen a drop in the show’s popularity.

Jonathan Klein the president of CNN’s domestic channel said that Larry King was ending the show on his “own terms” after completing the 25th anniversary of the show. He also told that announcement of a new show in the 9 p.m. slot will be made soon. Jonathan Klein has also reportedly told his employees to the channel would “celebrate tenure in proper fashion over the coming months”.

As for Larry King, the host who had been the face of CNN in the 9 p.m. slot for the past 25 years, the end of the show does not mean the end of his relationship with CNN family. Larry King mentioned in his blog that he will continue to be part of the CNN family and that his fans will find him host international and national events along with some special programs.
