LONDON - Pop band Black Eyed Peas is set to achieve the first ever million-selling download in Britain with their hit single “I Gotta Feeling”.

The record is expected to pass the milestone by the end of the coming week, as the band has sold 3.3 million more downloads in British chart history than any other group, dailymail.co.uk reported quoting the Official Charts Company.

“It’s exhilarating to know we are so connected to our Peabodies. Hopefully the good vibes from that song will continue to brighten people’s lives,” said Fergie singer of the band.

“Black Eyed Peas will forever be able to state that they scored the UK’s first million-selling download and ‘I Gotta Feeling’ is now firmly established as one of the defining tunes of our time,” said Martin Talbot, managing director of Official Charts Company.

The charts company figures show less than one percent of all top 40 singles in chart history go on to break the million-selling mark.
