June 10, 2010 (Sampurn Wire): If Les Grossman did not get enough opportunities to hurl abuses in Tropic Thunder he will get it now. Paramount pictures have announced a new comedy based on this hot headed and foul mouthed character, portrayed by Tom Cruise in the 2008 action satire film, Tropic Thunder. The film will be produced by Ben Stiller, director and co-producer of Tropic Thunder, and Cruise himself.

Cruise appeared in his abusive producer’s role for a live performance at MTV Movie Awards, last Sunday.

A statement from Stiller reveals that the actor tried to make Grossman real, saying that his life is an inspiration to achieve greatness against all odds and it’s an honor to work with him. Using a few expletives, stiller added that Grossman plans to make this film in a way that it makes Citizen Kane look like nothing.

Adding more pun, Adam Goodman, president of Paramount films said that whatever he has learned in this business he has learned from Grossman. He said that he started his career as his assistant and has loved him like a father from the very first day when Grossman threw his desk at him for getting the wrong lunch order.

If statements from Stiller and Goodman weren’t enough, Grossman himself has said that like his great friend Kirk Lazarus he doesn’t read the script, the script reads him. For those who don’t know, Kirk Lazarus, is the name of Robert Downey Jr’s character in Tropic Thunder. The role got Downey an Academy Award nomination.
