Mtv Bosses Apologise For Movie Awards Foul Language

MTV bosses have issued an apology for the foul language used at the MTV Movie Awards on Sunday night (06Jun10).

Almost all of the swear words were bleeped, but Twilight star Peter Facinelli caught the censors offguard when he purposely let slip the ‘F’ word several times during his Best Movie acceptance speech.

He took to Twitter.com to poke fun at his bad language, writing, “Someone needs to be quicker with that bleep button.”

But MTV bosses are far from amused - they’ve apologised to “those in our audience who were offended by any objectionable words that might have slipped by for the live airing”.

But the swearing didn’t turn viewers off - a total of 16.4 million people tuned in for the telecast.
