Rockers SYSTEM OF A DOWN have won their battle with the bosses of a British publishing company who accused the band of ripping off an Iraq War protest song they own.

Maxwood Music executives sued Daron Malakian and Serj Tankian for royalties from their Grammy Award-winning hit B.Y.O.B., claiming they owned a 50 per cent share in the tune.

The music bosses claimed they bought the rights to the song from Casey Chmielinski, aka Carey Chaos, who allegedly co-wrote the track.

But the case has now come to an end - a judge in Manhattan, New York has ruled that the bandmates do not owe royalties to Maxwood Music.
