Karan Johar missing Cannes (Snippets)

NEW DELHI - Filmmaker Karan Johar, who attended the Cannes International Film Festival last year, misses being a part of the gala event this year.

“Missed being at Cannes this year… the energy… is infectious… it’s truly a great blend of cinema and glamour,” Johar posted on his Twitter page.

This year stars like Aishwarya Rai, Mallika Sherawat, Deepika Padukone and Shekhar Kapur are making the Indian presence felt at the festival that kickstarted May 12.

Boman Irani taking guitar lessons

Versatile actor Boman Irani is taking guitar lessons and says it is something he wanted to do for a long time.

“Off for my first guitar lesson. One of my unfulfilled desires. Hope I take to it. Have many others. One at a time,” the 50-year-old posted on his Twitter page.

Boman was just seen in Sajid Khan’s “Housefull”.

Arshad Warsi getting serious now

Arshad Warsi, who received both critical and commercial acclaim for his comic roles in “Munnabhai” series, is now gearing up to play the serious role of a cop in his next film.

“‘Shaitan’ is a crime thriller and I am playing a cop… It is a serious role,” the actor posted on his Twitter page.

Arshad tickled the funny bone of the audiences in “Golmaal” too.
