Sci-fi masterminds STEVEN SPIELBERG and J.J. ABRAMS are teaming up for the STAR TREK director’s next movie, SUPER 8. The filmmakers have been working on the project for the past year and details have largely been kept under wraps, although it is said to be an homage to Abrams’ favourite childhood movies, including some of Spielberg’s. Production will begin on Super 8 this autumn (10).

I have been a Star Trek fan since the origional tv shows. I own all the dvd sets of the shows and movies. I may not be as hip as the young fans, but I still love the shows. I am a womam, I liked the new movie, but did not understand why in several parts, until I watched the delected sections. I sure hope in future movies you will not leave out necessary information. I had no idea who the kid was Kirk was waving too, or why. Also the deleted scenes of Nero were helpful to the story line. I love the new cast.
Not sure they can replace Shatner and etc, but I’m willing to give them a chance.
