LOS ANGELES (GaeaTimes.com)- Gabourey Sidibe, the host for the “Saturday Night Live” for the Apr 24 episode left no stone unturned to make the show a worth watch. She not only provided information to the audience about her own life but also acted in the SNL skits with the regular actors to make the audience laugh out loud. The actress played some comic parts and tried to break the image of a poor unhappy girl that she is related to owning to her beautiful portrayal of the character of a Harlem girl.

Gabourey Sidibe seemed a totally different person on the “Saturday Night Live” show and revealed to the audience that she has an upbringing that is totally opposite to the character that she had to portray in the film. She went on to say that unlike the Character who dreams of being beautiful and white skinned, Gabourey Sidibe had grown up with a dream of becoming a psychologist but adds on a lighter tone that she no more needs a degree in psychology as she is famous.

During “Saturday Night Live” Gabourey Sidibe was seen playing different roles in many of the SNL skits along with the regular actors. Gabourey Sidibe played the role of a Jamaican self-help book writer in the skit “The Suze Orman Show” and though she fumbled at some places due to the accent, she was able to make people laugh with some funny dialogues. Her “Who Wants to be a Millionaire” skit act was liked by many audiences. “Cherry Battle” and “Weekend Update” were some of Gabourey Sidibe’s other performances during the show.

She was great! This will definitely open more doors for her as an actress. Glad we were able to see a different side of her.
