Henderson sews up top prize on ‘Project Runway’

NEW YORK — Stylist and designer Seth Aaron Henderson has won the top prize on “Project Runway.”

Judges Heidi Klum (kloom), Nina Garcia, Michael Kors and Faith Hill crowned Henderson the winner of the fashion design reality television show Thursday night.

Henderson’s bold, graphic looks beat out Mila Hermanovski’s 1960s-inspired black and white line and Emilio Sosa’s color-inspired collection.

Sosa won the most challenges throughout the show’s seventh season and finished runner-up. The Dominican-born designer slumped over and appeared to fight back tears when the results were announced.

Henderson wins $100,000 to continue work on his collection. The 38-year-old from Vancouver, Wash., says his first big splurge will be a vacation with his wife and two children.

“Project Runway” airs on the Lifetime cable TV network.
