MUMBAI, INDIA (GaeaTimes.com)- Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, the supermodel turned actress who still commands a high market price even after her wedding to Abhishek Bachchan, has some grand releases lined up for 2010. After a long time the viewers will see her sharing screen space with Bollywood’s action hero Akshay Kumar. They earlier worked together in ‘Khakee’, a film where they were not exactly the lead pair. It is being speculated that in the film ‘Action Replayy’ the actress and the actor will pay tribute to some of the most famous on screen couples of Bollywood. Two songs have been shot in the movie that will have a vintage feel about them. It will be completed by the end of the month.
Aishwarya Rai Bachchan will get busy with the promotion of the bilingual Mani Ratnam directed ‘Raavana’ later this year. The film generated enough buzz during its shooting and as its release date is coming closer, the page 3 magazines and sites have started speculating on its success. The actress whose many on screen pairings with husband Abhishek Bachchan failed to set the cash register ringing tasted success with ‘Guru’, also directed by Mani Ratnam. It remains to be seen how the bilingual venture which also stars southern star Vikram fares at the Box office.
Aishwarya Rai Bachchan still remains one of the highest paid actresses of the country. She is also among the few actresses who get offers from Hollywood. Post marriage, she has cut down on the films but still the top notch directors of the country are keen on working with her.
