Fogerty To Be Honoured

Rocker JOHN FOGERTY is to be honoured as the 2010 BMI Icon at a gala in Los Angeles in May (10).
The former Creedence Clearwater Revival frontman will be feted at the 58th annual Pop Awards for his “unique and indelible influence on generations of music makers.”
The invitation-only event will also honour the songwriters and publishers of the past year’s most-performed pop songs in the U.S.
The gala will culminate with an all-star musical tribute to Fogerty.
Past BMI Icons include Paul Simon, James Brown, Willie Nelson and Dolly Parton.
