Country music icon DOLLY PARTON has expanded her business portfolio - she’s opened her first retail store in her native Tennessee.

The 64-year-old singer/actress and entrepreneur celebrated the grand opening of Dolly Parton’s Trinkets and Treasures, in Nashville with a pink ribbon-cutting ceremony on Friday (12Mar10).

She opened her own theme park, Dollywood, in nearby Pigeon Ford in 1961.

The shop is filled with Parton’s music and DVDs, customised guitars and clothes.

She tells Usmagazine.com, “When I was growing up in the backwoods of the Smoky Mountains, any trinket was a treasure to me. The mail order catalogue was my wish book. I wished I could have everything I saw.”
