March 4 2010, (Sampurn Wire): Hailing from Bihar the brother duo of Bapi-Tutul are today a name to be reckoned with in the world of music composition.

Starting with bhajans and jingles the most popular being Vicks Action 500, Whirlpool, Eno, Qatar Airways to name a few, the brother duo ventured into Bollywood music in 2003 with Sushant Singh and Sushmita Sen starrer ‘Paisa Vasool’.

Unlike other music composers Bapi-Tutul always felt that stardom was nothing but mere showbiz rather it is the hard work that is actually required to sustain in the city of dreams- Mumbai.

It has been 7 long years of hardship and the duo today have their hands full with National award winning Sushil Rajpal’s film ‘Antardwand’, Ram Gopal Varma’s ‘Rakta Charitra’, Amitabh Verma’s ‘Mastermind’, Anand Saropar’s ‘Fakir’, Pravesh Bharadwaj’s ‘Niyati’ and Mahesh Kothari’s Marathi film ‘Sakhya Re’.

The Bengali brothers feel that playbacks have no place in their movies. Being the only qualified music composers Bapi-Tutul not only give fabulous music scores but are also well established as background composers.

The duo is currently working on Hindi, Marathi, Tamil and Telugu films but have yet to work in their regional language.
