‘Shrek’ to open Tribeca film fest

LONDON - “Shrek Forever After”, fourth in the series of highly successful animation movie, will open the Tribeca Film Festival, starting April 21.

The annual New York film festival announced the selection Monday. “Shrek Forever After” will be the first to be released in 3-D reports conta. Mike Myers, Eddie Murphy, Cameron Diaz and Antonio Banderas has given voice-over in the film, which is set to be released in May.

The annual New York festival was founded in 2002 by Robert De Niro, Jane Rosenthal and Craig Hatkoff in response to the September 11 terrorist attacks on the World Trade Center. The fest will run until May 2.

“Shrek Forever After” is said to be last in the series.
