LONDON - Acclaimed filmmaker James Cameron and actress Sigourney Weaver staged a special screening of thier 3D sci-fi epic hit “Avatar” for the US military in Bahrain.

The director, along with the movie’s stars Weaver, Stephen Lang and Michelle Rodriguez, flew to Bahrain in January to showcase their award-winning film at a military base and aboard two battleships, reports imdb.com.

Cameron’s ex-marine brother, John D. Cameron, was thrilled with his sibling’s morale-boosting visit.

“Showing ‘Avatar’ to the troops was truly a once-in-a-lifetime experience. To do something for the men and women who serve our country was a great privilege,” said John D. Cameron.
