Veteran actor WILLIAM SHATNER is returning to the small screen in a new comedy based on one man’s controversial Twitter account.
The former Star Trek actor has signed up to appear in a U.S. TV pilot based on S**t My Dad Says, which has turned creator Justin Halpern into an internet sensation since he debuted the blog in August (09).
Shatner will play a character based on Halpern’s larger-than-life father, whose obscene rants are featured in Halpern’s ‘tweets’.
The show, which will feature on U.S. network CBS, is set to begin production in November (09), reports the New York Daily News.
