Australian pop star-turned-reality TV king PETER ANDRE is set to revive RICHARD GERE and JOHN TRAVOLTA’s misunderstood bad boy DANNY ZUKO in London’s West End, according to reports.

The Mysterious Girl hitmaker has been approached to take on the role Gere made famous in the West End in the early 1970s and Travolta took to the big screen in 1978 movie Grease.

And Andre, himself, told the cast of the musical last week he’d love to join the show.

Grease bosses are currently in talks with Andre’s management to conclude a deal, according to British tabloid The Sun.

A source tells the publication, “Pete has had lots of offers from musicals but Grease is one of his favourites. He loves the character of Danny and he’s confident that he will be able to play him - even if only for a short stint.

“It wouldn’t be until next year.”

Former Hear’Say singer Noel Sullivan is currently portraying Danny in Grease at London’s Piccadilly Theatre.

There have been a string of big name stage Zukos over the years with British thespian Paul Nicholas, Barry Bostwick, Treat Williams, Patrick Swayze, David Hasselhoff, Craig McLachlan and Jon Secada among the notables to play the leader of the Burger Palace Boys (aka the T-Birds) onstage.
