JAIPUR - The police had to baton charge the unruly fans of Bollywood actor Salman Khan who had turned up in large numbers to have a glimpse of their favourite actor.

The situation took an ugly turn, when the protestors were unable to catch a glimpse of the actor. The infuriated mob then began to throw bottles on the stage.

Salman Khan was also supposed to participate in the marathon.

Several prominent persons of the city including Bollywood actor Rajiv Khandelwal took part in the 21-kilometer marathon that was organised to launch a campaign to make the city a world class.

On the sidelines of the marathon race, Bollywood actor Rajiv Khandelwal said, “People have launched a campaign to make Jaipur a world class city. Residents of the city should join hands to make the dream a reality.”

“Locals should support each other and feel proud to be resident of Jaipur. Jaipur is our city and we belong to Jaipur,” he added.

However, the marathon that was organised today remained a flop show, as the race could not be organised properly. (ANI)
