‘Glee’ cast, Baldwin, Fey win SAG comedy awards

LOS ANGELES — The cast of the spunky TV series “Glee,” about a high school singing club, has won the trophy for best comedy series ensemble at the Screen Actors Guild Awards.

Alec Baldwin and Tina Fey of “30 Rock” won SAG awards Saturday for best acting in a comedy series.

Baldwin won for his role as an arrogant but charming network executive who helps series star Fey produce a TV comedy show. Both won the awards last year.

With three nominations each for the SAG Awards, “Inglourious Basterds,” ”Precious” and “Up in the Air” lead film nominees, while “Dexter,” ”30 Rock” and “The Closer” are the top TV competitors.

LOS ANGELES (AP) — Alec Baldwin and Tina Fey of “30 Rock” are winners of Screen Actors Guild awards for best acting in a comedy series.

Baldwin won Saturday for his role as an arrogant but charming network executive who helps series star Fey produce a TV comedy show. Both won the awards last year.

Baldwin used his speech to laud the guild for the work it does on behalf of all actors. Fey joked about being happy with her network, NBC, home to the recent late-night battle with Conan O’Brien.

With three nominations each for the SAG Awards, “Inglourious Basterds,” ”Precious” and “Up in the Air” lead film nominees, while “Dexter,” ”30 Rock” and “The Closer” are the top TV competitors.
