Nashville- American country singer Billy Currington gave an amazing performance at the 43rd Annual Country Music Association Award 2009 which was held on Wednesday night at the Sommet Center in Nashville, Tennessee. The much acclaimed country music icon performed his popular single “God is great, beer is good and People Are Crazy” at the gala event which was immensely enjoyed by the crowd.

The song “God is great, beer is good and People Are Crazy” had also received three nominations in the category of single of the year, song of the year and video of the year but could not manage to grab any awards. However, all the fans of the celebrated country musician were not very disappointed as the singer gave a stunning performance which kept the audiences asking for more. The song was released in the first half of this year as a part of Billy’s third album ‘Little Bit of Everything’. Since then, the song has gained immense popularity because of its unique style and interesting lyrics. The song basically reveals a catchy story in the form of a conversation with a stranger which takes place in a bar. The song has also featured in the top ten Billboard country music charts as it has been highly appreciated by country music lovers.

Billy Currington is among the most promising country music artists who released his first album in 2003. Over the years, the singer has released two other albums which feature a number of singles that have become chart topping hits. Moreover, the song “God is great, beer is good and People Are Crazy” has resulted in Billy gaining a lot of recognition as the song is his third number one hit.
