SRINAGAR - With violence abating and Valley slowly limping back to normalcy, Kashmir has once again started finding favour with Bollywood.

And the latest film unit to land in Srinagar is the cast and crew of a short film “Megha’ directed by film maker Onir.

The lead actor of the film is Sanjay Suri, who is a native of Kashmir. He said that the film being shot in Kashmir would send out a powerful message to the entire world about normalcy returning to the region.

“Whoever has shot films in Kashmir has gone back with a message saying that situation is normal. My motive is also that film units should come here as it helps in enhancing employment and boosting tourism. There is no better medium than films to convey to the entire world that situation in Kashmir is returning back to normal,” said Suri.

‘Megha’ is a short 20-minute film, which depicts the reunion of two childhood friends played by Juhi Chawla and Manisha Koirala, who get together after a gap of 20 years.

The film explores the friendship between a Kashmiri Hindu and a Muslim girl. It is a saga of their memories and experiences they underwent during the 20-year time frame. (ANI)
