Celeb Portraits Raise Cash For Unicef

Portraits of stars including EVA LONGORIA PARKER, EMILY BLUNT and SIENNA MILLER have raised $224,000 (£149,000) for UNICEF.

The Desperate Housewives star and actress Blunt’s portraits had the highest price tag, selling for $30,000 (£20,000) each at auction in Los Angeles on Thursday (17Sep09), while Miller’s picture gained $21,000 (£14,000).

Milla Jovovich’s snap by photographer Roger Moenks went for $20,000 (£13,666) and portraits of Susan Sarandon,

Marcia Cross, Helen Hunt, Lauren Hutton and Andie MacDowell fetched $15,000 (£10,000) each.

All proceeds from the auction will benefit UNICEF’s global education and literacy programs. (CL/WNWCPS/ZN)
