Lewis’ Success Set In Wax

British singer LEONA LEWIS’ fame is set in wax - a model of the singer will be unveiled at London’s Madame Tussauds later this year (09).

The 24 year old has enjoyed a meteoric rise to stardom since winning British talent contest The X Factor in 2006, going on to land a number one album in the U.K. and the U.S.

Now bosses at the British capital’s famed Madame Tussauds waxwork museum have decided the star is deserving of her own figure among a host of other superstar doppelgangers.

The waxwork, which costs $225,000 (£150,000) to sculpt, will go on display by the end of 2009.

And Lewis is ecstatic to be immortalised in wax - because it’s been her ambition since she visited the museum as a child.

She says, “It has been a lifelong dream since I visited as a child. I can’t wait to meet my wax double.”
