MIKE MYERS jumped at the chance to play a British General in QUENTIN TARANTINO’s new movie INGLOURIOUS BASTERDS, because the cameo fulfilled a childhood dream.

The actor’s British parents both served in the armed forces and he spent his childhood playing soldiers and fantasising about following in their footsteps.
His role as General Ed French in the new World War II movie is only a fleeting one - but Myers was thrilled nonetheless.
He explains, “My mum was in the air force and my dad was in the British army.
“I always wanted to be the British general who explains the mission, and in this movie I get to be.”
